Monday night was the game of the season. Josh Allen ran for 121 yards and threw for 210, Matthew Stafford went 40 of 54 for 383, Puka Nacua caught 17 passes (the most anyone has ever caught against Buffalo), Kyren Williams tied it with five seconds left, Greg Rousseau blocked the Rams' overtime field goal, and Tyler Bass won it 37–34 for Allen's first overtime win of his career. The week opened with an upset too: Bucky Irving ran for 165 yards and scored twice as the 0-4 Buccaneers beat the Cowboys 24–16 as eight-point underdogs, and Dallas lost CeeDee Lamb to a quad injury. In London, Cam Little hit a 57-yarder as time expired to beat the Eagles 19–17, Parker Washington went for 124 yards and two scores with a one-handed fourth-down catch, and Philadelphia managed 22 rushing yards.
Sunday belonged to the quarterbacks. Drake Maye threw for 374 yards and four touchdowns and ran for a fifth in a 45–17 rout of the Raiders. Jordan Love went 25 of 31 for 367 as Green Bay beat Chicago 31–7 with five takeaways, with Christian Watson scoring from 53 and 43 yards out and Matthew Golden adding 123. Aaron Rodgers passed Peyton Manning for third on the all-time touchdown list while Jaylen Warren scored on an 80-yard catch and a 50-yard run. Jared Goff threw three more touchdowns (12 for the year, zero giveaways) and Jahmyr Gibbs went 25 for 151 and two scores in a 45–21 win, after which Arizona traded Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston. Justin Jefferson came back with 79 yards and a touchdown, the Vikings and 49ers are both 5-0, and the Giants and Commanders played to a 27–27 tie in which Jayden Daniels ran for 109 yards, Malik Nabers caught 11 passes on 20 targets, Cam Skattebo fumbled in overtime and Washington couldn't get a play off at the end.
The injury list, as always: Lamar Jackson sat out with his ankle and Tyler Huntley went 11 for 11 on the tying drive and in overtime to beat Atlanta. Lamb's quad, Deebo Samuel's hamstring, David Montgomery's groin, TreVeyon Henderson's ankle, Tee Higgins' groin and Michael Penix's ribs all came out of the weekend. Quinshon Judkins left the Browns' loss in a walking boot and Will Shipley hurt his foot in London, both of which matter to exactly one owner in this league.
